I started this forum because I couldn't find a forum (especially on EZBoard) dedicated to this subject. Feel free to discuss any concealed weapons related topics. We are mostly concerned with Nebraska at this point. All opinions will be tolerated, but all behaviour will not be tolerated! Please keep things civil.

Found this site just before I left for vacation, so I'm only now registering. I'm a police officer. I also testified before the judiciary comittee in support of LB 265, so this is a subject near and dear to me.

I'm not a Nebraskan, per se, but my father lived in Red Cloud for a good part of his childhood, and has fond memories. My grandmother was laid to rest in the cemetary there several years ago, so I had a chance to visit his childhood stomping grounds. I'm a moderator at both MissouriCarry.com and KSConcealedCarry.com, and active in CCW and Second Amendment issues, especially as they relate to Missouri, my home state. We're all in this fight together, so I'll be dropping by from time to time to say hi, spread some encouragement, pick your brains, share information, etcetera. With a little luck we'll see CCW in NE this year and in KS next year, and maybe in Illinois sometime after Chicago gets evicted from the state... Speaking of which, IllinoisCarry.com is another related forum, and there may be some good cross-site, cross-state information there, since they too are currently fighting for their right to CCW.

I was a resident of Papillion for 6 years and during that time, met a lot of friendly people, joining the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club. I'm happy to see that gun owners of Nebraska are getting involved, trying to activate legislation allowing CCW for Nebraska. I'll sign into this sight occasionally, just to see how things are progressing. Who knows, I may someday return to Nebraska, to finish my career and if so, I certainly would enjoy exercising my right to carry. Cheers!

I recently moved to Lincoln from Idaho where our guns are like family. I've had my CCW in Idaho for ~8 years, and I was really bummed to learn that I could not apply for one here in NE. It sounds like there is a bill about that addresses CCW. Even though I'm in grad. school, I'm pretty politics-retarded. I'll try to check back to this site occasionally, as CCW is something I feel strongly about. I e-mailed that politician's office that was posted elsewhere on this site. Nice to see there are some Nebraskans for CCW.

Still kicking myself for not buying a firearm in AZ but I'm ready to get shootin' in NE. I'm taking an NRA marksmanship class and want to purchase a Sig Mosquito for plinkin'. Right now under NE Law a city can write ordinance to not allow CCW and this is my and others from the forum quest, to change this, especially since I live in this city (Plattsmouth). There are app. 12-14 cities with ordinanes on there books. Omaha and Lincoln not one of these cities.
