Gee to read the article they give the apperance that the guy emptied 150 rounds into the wall. Not to condone what he did , but geesh, reporters

That's not the impression I get from reading the article. The guy claims it was an AD as we was trying to unload the weapon. Still doesn't say what
kind of weapon.

They used the phrase "he shot a wall out" I think is what ranger is referring to. Again, not to excuse the actions just to point out how they
reported it. I find this funny "There is a hole from where the round went into the wall," said Sgt. Dargy. Really, you don't say :-D.
Not only does it not say what kind of weapon but if he owned it legally. Had a carry permit....I hope he doesn't.

update-name released
The man is identified as 29 y/o Dustin Penney. He lists his address as that of a motel room in Bellevue. He claims he went into the restroom at the Village Inn to unload his handgun and it went off. Hmmmm.... I wonder, were any of the 4 rules violated?

Pretty "crappy" experience to say the least.....

It's fortunate that the bullet didn't kill or injure someone when it went thru the wall.

I hope this guy isn't a CHP holder

... latest story on wowt.com says he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. While it casts a bad light on
those of us who carry, I'm pretty sure he didn't have a permit.

VI is not posted, so why would any CHP holder go to the restroom to unload his or her heater? Was fishy right from the jump. Too bad the fool wasn't "cleaning" his piece while he was in there and ventilated his noggin instead of the wall. |

I gotta wonder if the dip$hit wasn't ensuring his piece was ready prior to knocking off the VI.
Since the individual in question is/was a felon, IF he did have a permit, he obviously lied on his app or the process failed somehow. The anti's may point to this and scream "I told you so!" but the reality is, he isn't qualified to have a permit. I was concerned some legit permit holder was in the can playing with his new Glock and managed a negligent discharge. Looks like that wasn't the case. Take that naysayers!
