I have a question on how to answer the question on the ccw permit application, "Have you ever been convicted of a felony".
I was convicted of one in 1988 and later pardoned by the governor. The pardon specifically states your right to carry a gun has been restored. I went to the
county sherrif and applied for the permit to purchase a hand gun, fully disclosing the above fact. This permit was approved and now I want to get the ccw
permit. I served a year in Iraq and feel naked. I also hold a Top Secret clearance from the military fulling disclosing this information.
Do I answer yes and explain the situation or no to the conviction question.

Answer yes and explain as well as send a copy of the pardon with the app. I have a felony on my record that isnt supposed to be there and after going to the
court house a number of times was able to get it noted that it is a bad entry and no action was taken. I called the state patrol and talked to the people who
deal with the apps and was told there was no problem.( they looked at my nics record) You might want to call them also.
