Dead woman found shot in car
Published Sunday September 13, 2009Omaha police were investigating the death of a 21-year-old Omaha woman who was found Sunday at an apartment complex near 90th and Q Streets, police said.
Police identified the woman as Diane Stieneke.
Police were called to the Wentworth USA apartment complex at 5246 S. 88th Plaza at 11:44 a.m. The person who called 911 found the woman with apparent gunshot wounds inside a dark-colored SUV, said Officer Jacob Bettin, a police spokesman.
The person tried to help Stieneke, but paramedics declared her dead at the scene, Bettin said.
Police considered her death suspicious.
