Our Saturday session will be the NRA Basic Instructor Training module. This is a required class for any new NRA instructor candidate. It is essentially a class in how to teach the NRA way. We will begin at 9:30am and conclude about 4:00pm. No range time is needed for this class. We will start the pistol discipline about 4:30 on Saturday.
On Sunday we will finish the NRA Pistol discipline. Successful candidates, once the credentialing process is completed, will be able to offer NRA Pistol classes as certified NRA instructors. We will start at 8:30am on Sunday, and it is a long day...and will include some range time.
If there is interest in obtaining the NRA Personal Protection in the Home certification, we may extend the class to one more day...Monday, November 2nd.
All new instructor candidates must have either a current Nebraska Permit to Carry, or have completed the NE CCW course and are awaiting issuance of thier actual permit card. Proof must be submitted. If a person was attending from outside Nebraska, then they will need to have a pre-course assessment to determine eligibility. You can e-mail me about that if needed.
Cost: $175 for the Saturday session; $200 for the Sunday session; if there were interest in the PPITH module on Monday (and it is fully optional), that would be an additional $200.
Because materials need to be ordered about 2-3 weeks in advance, registrations must be made by Friday, October 9th. Registration can be by e-mail or tel call to me at 218-234-6001. The class fee will be due the day of the class. Please note that in addition to the class fee, there will be a nominal range fee assessed by Heartland, and a small NRA certification fee. Total for both of those fees will be less than $35.
The class will be conducted by Paul Horvick, an NRA Training Counselor.
Additional details will be sent once the registration is received.
Space is limited, so if you are interested, it would be best to e-mail me sooner rather later.

Update: Facility is arranged, posters/flyers up. To encourage more folks there is a $50 discount if paid in advance.... OK, not a big deal, but a few trips to Mac and Don's...
