I am looking into starting IDPA matches in Lincoln at the outdoor range... How many of you would be interested in shooting these matches?

ALSO-
I am working to line up an IDPA "Safety Officer" training class so a few of us can get certified by an IDPA trainer. Cost of the class will depend on how many I can get signed up. The more people who sign up, the cheaper it is per person. This class would be held in Lincoln. You would have to join IDPA which is $40 annually. Training Material packet from IDPA is $10 Cost of travel for the trainer is roughly $150/$200 (split between all the students) Email me ASAP if you are interested. You don't have to commit yet, but I need to know how much interest there is, then will start setting a firm date. Also let me know if you are available to travel down to southern Kansas to take the class. If we only have a handful of people wanting to take this class it may be more economical for us to go to the Instructor. IF YOU WANT TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT SHOOTING THIS SPORT, TAKING THE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO REALLY KNOW THE RULES, AND HELPS YOU BECOME A BETTER SHOOTER. |

I am interested in attending matches. I assume these would be at the Isaak Walton Range?

Well the Ikes Board wasn't receptive to starting the IDPA matches on the current range. However we are pursuing the possiblity of expanding some pistol
bays on the property to use for these kinds of matches.
Sucks, as I'd like to get some matches going this spring, but it is still possible to pan out there.... Just going to take some more time than I hoped. |

Just started shooting pistols this year, eager to develop some skills. I've been practicing at my folks' farm, but that's hour and half away from here. Thinking about making a range in connection with their bed and breakfast. What do you think, would any of you spend afternoon shooting at the range, stay overnight? |
