The problem is not with the presidential office, it is with congress and the senate. However, if we have Obama, a democratic senate and
house....put on your best communist attire and enjoy the concrete block housing.
ALmost everyone in this country believes we live in a democracy, but we were founded as a republic and the two are very different. A democracy is to control the people, a Republic is for/about the people. Socialism is what we currently live in. It is almost amusing to me that the very thing we fought communist Russia in the '80's for being, we have most certainly become. Do you really think anything other than a One World Government is on the agenda for both McCain or Obama? The only benefit of having McCain in office is that it will slow down the process a bit. The true test for this country will be "when" Obama becomes president is if the people of this "Republic" will be willing to stand up for what this country was suppossed to be....not what it has become. I welcome the "Second Revolution", at least I/we could stand up for what our founding fathers built with their blood. A fine quote from Benjamin Franklin. "We've given you a Republic. We hope you can keep it..." Today's Congress has become a lifetime career completely contrary to what our Founding Fathers envisioned nearly 227 years ago. |

There is no way in hell I will vote for McCain. Not a single chance. You want someone who cannot even read speeches off of a teleprompter? You want someone
who says they don't need on the job training, but then right there on national news, he needs on the job training from Lieberman. He doesn't even know
what he's saying. He cannot speak for himself. The words you hear coming from him are simply those of his handlers.
Sadly most people think there are huge differences between McCain and Obama. You couldn't be more wrong. Both are just as much of a threat to our country. If you can't see that, then I suggest you turn off the tv for once and actually start seeking some truth. |

McCain supports closing the "Gun Show Loophole".
McCain wants to ban "cheap" handguns. Sadly most people think there are huge differences between McCain and Obama. You couldn't be more wrong. Both are just as much of a threat to our country. If you can't see that, then I suggest you turn off the tv for once and actually start seeking some truth. If this is not a huge difference than you are in the wrong forum! Two sides of the same coin. I think that's the point jednp is trying to make. Is one better/worse than the other? Sure. But it's up to you to decide which.

McCain vs. Obama: Where they stand | ||
|
Well I can due with out cheap junk guns.
Also can handle it if they tighten up the loopholes at Gun Shows such as requiring a FFL for exhibitors. Some of these people are quite shady, If this is what McCain wants to do fine do not like it but can live with it.. McCain a Arizona Senator from a state which welcomes Gun manufacturers and has liberal gun laws. Burack Husein Obama a Illinois Senator from a state with some of the most stringent gun laws of any. Plus his voting record of present but not voting. There is a vast difference on the two candidates. One only need to research some. If Husein Obama gets his way there will be no shows no concealed carry no semi auto firearms and more. Do you like this I ask. I for one do not my voting decision is quite simple, and no conspiracy fiction involved. http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/election08/articles/2008/06/03/20080603mccainvsobama0603-CR.html
A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who
might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.

I know a LOT of folks where cheap guns is all they can afford. Are you saying that a person who so poor they can't afford a more expensive gun does not
have the right to defend themselves with a cheap gun?
Closing the "Gun Show Loophole" is basically eliminating person-to-person sales. Why shouldn't I be able to sell my gun(s) directly, rather than go through an FFL dealer? Me, personally, I can live with those restrictions also. But as the old saying goes:

While McCain is not the best for gun rights, Obama is much, much worse. However, step back and look at some of the other issues, especially taxes. With Obama,
prepare to be buried in taxes. The fact he supports a windfall tax on oil companies is proof the man is insane. Even folks who slept through an economics class
will tell you that more taxes will NOT lower the price of a good.

Cheap Guns not as in quality but as in junk.

Hatchet1961, I understand what you're saying. But everywhere I look, there's no mention of their definition of "Cheap". If they're
referring to cheap as in junk, I think there are already laws regarding manufacturer's defects. If their definition of "Cheap" is inexpensive,
well you know how I feel about that.
Stratocaster81, I agree 100%. Even though I consider 2nd Amendment issues a primary concern, we must consider the candidates as a whole.

I am glad someone appreciates my gallows humor. If I could not laugh about the situation, I may lose all hope and begin digging a bunker...... We are in fact,
again voting for the lesser of two evils. Either we choose a Marxist who BELIEVES his own BS, or a Big Government RINO who will do whatever it takes get
elected. Which will do the least lasting damage to the country? Would it be better to vote for that Nut, Ron Paul (or better yet, Bob Barr), hoping that 4
years of Obama will result in what 4 years of Carter did? I don't know........ I am waiting to see who McStain picks for a running mate. He IS old enough
to be Dirt's Grandpa, and could drop dead the evening of inauguration day........... ANYTHING is possible: The Chicago Cubs have the best record in
baseball............................

A politician is a politician. John Mc Cain will sit down for dinner with Burack Obama; before he'll sit down with me or you. Whom ever is President,
cares more about the vote of a senator than you or me. They can talk all their talk; but they will still vote or decide on what THEY want to do. They DO NOT
CARE HOW WE FEEL. Their only future in life is to convince enough of the herd to follow them. And we all know where the herd end up.
