1st Annual Nebraska 5.11 Challenge open to the public 9:00 am, Saturday, May 10th

Hosted by the Columbus Practical Shooters at the Clark Memorial Range of the Columbus Rifle Club.

The Original 5.11 Challenge was designed by 5.11 Tactical to be a "Give Back" to Law Enforcement.

On Site Registrations taken until 4:00pm Saturday, May 10th however, please arrive early. Squad assignments will be immediate as space becomes available per stage. Match is on Rain or Shine, No Rain Date Scheduled.

Law Enforcement & Military will compete in a separate class as well as prizes from Non-LE & Military entrants.

This event is designed around 2 stages each of Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun. A separate long range precision rifle or additional optical sight for said rifle will be allowed for 75-150 yard shots.

Safety is paramount! Absolutely no violation of the safety rules will be tolerated! No alcohol on CRC Property!

Firearms may only be handled at the designated "Safe Areas". All firearms will remain unloaded until given the command to load by the range officer at the firing line. Handguns may be carried only in a hip holster that does not permit access to the trigger.

Ammunition can not be handled in the "Safe Area". Eye and Ear protection are required.

Match Entry: $15 Juniors: $10

Entry fee includes a chance in two different raffles, additional tickets available for $1 each.

Divisions:
Law Enforcement & Military: whatever duty gear that is issued or available at your disposal, plus a long range
precision rifle with any optics
Non-Law Enforcement or Military:
Limited: all iron sights on all three firearms, plus a long range precision rifle with any optics
Tactical: only one optical sight among all three firearms, plus a long range precision rifle with any optics
Open: virtually no limitations, plus a long range precision rifle with any optics
Course of Fire: 115 rounds
2 Stages of Pistol total round count of 40; consisting of Steel and Paper Targets,
1 Stage of Tactical Rifle total round count of 28; consisting of Paper Targets,
1 Stage of Precision Long Range Rifle total round count of 12; consisting of Rifle Steel and Paper Targets,
Be prepared to shoot from a simulated asphalt roof section (elbow and knee pads are recommended),
2 Stages of Shotgun total round count of 35; consisting of 5 rounds of Slugs, 5 rounds of Buck Shot, 25 bird shot.
We'll have a Door Breach as well as Steel and Paper Targets.

Bring extra ammo, these numbers do not include misses or malfunctions.
Note: Ammo can be carried anywhere you like, as long as it is not in your hand. Bandolier, Cartridge Belt, Mag Holders, Etc. are acceptable ways of carrying ammo.
Be prepared for 75-150 yard shots at USPSA paper targets and 12" steel plates with your Precision Long Range Rifle.

Scoring:
Handgun: 9mm, .38 Special = Minor; .357 Mag, .40 S&W, .45 ACP = Major
Rifle: .223, 7.62 x 39 = Minor; .308 = Major
Shotgun: 20 ga = Minimum; 20 ga, 12 ga = Major

Range: Clark Memorial Range of the Columbus Rifle Club; directions as follows:
From the West edge of Columbus (Cubby's on 48th Ave & Hwy 81) continue West approx. 2 miles
on Hwy 81 North to 235th Avenue (Central Confinement Services);
Turn North onto 235th Avenue go approx. 2 miles North to 265th Street (Stop Sign),
(at the hilltop with farm equipment, you can see the dirt backstop);
Turn East onto 265th Street go approx. 100 yards East to South side of the intersection.

At this time, please bring a sack lunch and beverages, as no food will be supplied.

Match Director reserves the right to eliminate stages/divisions as necessary.
