After we ate, we went in to the 'Old Navy' store (again I didn't see a "No Gun" sticker) so that went well too.
I'd recommend these stores in the future.

I took the family out to eat at 'Old Chicago' in Papillion at The Shadowlake Towne Center this evening. This is the first time I've carried since getting my CCW as I just received my MTAC holster yesterday. Now, I didn't see a "No Guns" sticker posted anywhere so I'm guessing I was ok. My question is for anyone that knows... How does a person know if they receive revenue of 51% or more from alcohol sales? I'm figuring since they are more of a restaurant then a bar establishment then it probably is under 51%. Our visit went very well and I didn't get nervous like I thought.

This might be better suited in another section.
Well, one of the MANY problems with the current chp law is that there is no easy or reliable way for you as a permit holder to determine the percentage of revenue any business you may wish to patronize receives from the sale of alcohol. My advice to you is just to use common sense and if you are truly in doubt, then it is probably best to find another place to eat. Since there is already wording in the law making it illegal to carry with any measurable trace of alcohol in your system, the type of business you are in should not be an issue. Who cares if I am carrying in a bar if I just went in there for some greasy food and a soda pop. We finally got our chp law passed in this state, now we just need to "de-stupify" it. Glad your first concealed outing went well, and welcome to the club! |

My son was working at a Kwik Shop three or four years ago down by Wichita, KS. He says that they had the signs posted then, it is a corporate policy and they were posted long before Kansas had passed their CCW bill.

#15 on a list of "Rules" is not conspicuously posted in my book. I said the same thing in another post about the other malls in Omaha. If the law is going to allow posting extablishments then they need to designate the exact sign that is to be posted like Texas did. Big, Ugly thing that has to be posted at eye level on or to the side of the door. The NSP only suggests one on their web site. |

Shadow Lake is not posted in accordance with the law. I carry there regularly. Some of the stores don't have the rules of conduct signs in front of them at
all. If I have to walk four stores down to read a sign that is not even on the building or near any entrance, it's not conspicuously posted. I don't
care to try to get management involved. Worst case they could post every store.

The Pizza Hut at that new strip mall on 370 and 96th is posted. I didn't feel like cooking one night, had my daughter call them so that I could pick it up
on my way home. When I walked up to the door I noticed the sign on the door. Since I had already ordered the pizza I went in (wasn't carrying since I work
on federal property) and asked for the manager. After going through the speal, I told him that I was going to go ahead and pay for the pizza but as long as
that sign was posted I wouldn't be back. He told me that he didn't think that is was legal to carry a concealed handgun, anywhere, period. I attempted
to educate the guy but don't hold much hope. He said he would find out why the sign was required but I don't think he was very motivated. My daughter
says that it's still posted.
